Do you create stuff sometimes?  Do you keep it?  Have you ever thought about keeping it FOREVER or maybe just burning it all? Why would you hold on to things that only have value to you?  Our friends at the Read/Write Library think about this stuff a lot (maybe too much), so this February they’re kicking off a series of DIY Preservation programs for both non-professional and professional communities to talk and learn about it.

The inaugural event, the Death and Trash party, is half-workshop, half-party where participants can talk about why they think keeping stuff or not keeping stuff is the way to go while eating snacks and sipping beverages of their choice.  It’s interactive and social, so BYOB and your best pair of debating pants!

They're also looking for contributors – if you’re interested in speaking about an issue of your interest, leading or hosting a workshop, or helping in any other way, e-mail the Read/Write Library at preservation@readwritelibrary.org.
