The mission of the interests groups is to give CAA members an opportunity to gather informally around common archival subjects in the Chicago area. Join an Interest Group or consider starting a group of interest to you and fellow CAA members.
A forum for discussion related to issues and current events facing archivists of color, as well as archival collections concerning people of color.

The goals of the Curating and Exhibition Interest Group is to engage members and non-members in dialogues about best practices, emerging trends, and resources in curating and exhibiting archives and special collections in libraries.

The goal of this group is to gather archivists of religious collections to meet and discuss emerging trends, best practices, and share ideas and resources that uniquely pertain to religious collections and archives.
Topics of discussion may include but are not limited to:
Confidentiality as it pertains to religious collections
Collections management
Special and controlled vocabularies

To create a new Interest Group, please complete the Interest Group form and submit it to CAA Steering Committee. There is also a document to share Interest Group ideas as well as Interest Group Guidelines to help members interested in forming a new Group.
