Many thanks to everyone who helped us spread the word downtown about the proposed closures of the National Archives regional branches in Chicago and San Bruno. We had folks demonstrating from 11am-1pm in Chicago's Federal Plaza on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and a larger demonstration on Friday, 10/16, with at least 15 concerned archivists and archives boosters. We handed out hundreds of flyers, and had deep conversations about what NARA is, what kinds of resources it holds, and what our region stands to lose. If you want to take further action, please keep and eye on our Take Action page.

Here are some pictures from Monday 10/12 and Friday 10/16.
