The Special Collections Research Center is located on the first floor of Regenstein Library: 1100 East 57th Street, Chicago, IL 60637. When you arrive, please tell the entrance attendant that you are with the Chicago Area Archivists and will be attending a webinar in the Special Collections Research Center. You may be asked to present a valid driver's license or other current identification with a photograph.

As you enter the library through the turnstiles, turn left. The front entrance to the Special Collections Research Center is just past the gallery on your left (JRL 130).

Parking Information: The closest parking garage to the library is located at Ellis Avenue and 55th Street.

Travel by Public Transit: We recommend the #6 Jackson Park Express bus from downtown. Get off the bus at E. 57th Street and S. Stony Island. The library will be a 13 minute walk straight down 57th Street from the bus stop. The next best option is the Metra Electric District Line. Please note that the CTA red line reconstruction does affect the Garfield station. If you prefer to take a CTA train to Hyde Park, the green line Cottage Grove station remains open.

Please Note!

Light refreshments will be served. We invite you to come early or stay late to enjoy our newest exhibit on Chicago souvenirs and memorabilia. If you would like dinner in Hyde Park following the webinar there are many tasty options nearby including Noodles, Etc., Medici, and the Nile. We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Chicago!
