Setting up a Gmail filter for CAA listserv emails

We’ve noticed an issue – mostly for Gmail users - where listserv emails from individuals are being sent to spam. To prevent this in Gmail, you just need to create a filter to route these emails to your inbox.

Steps:

1. Click into the Search bar at the top of your inbox, and search for emails sent to the listerv (to:CHI-AREA-ARCHIVISTS@listserv.it.northwestern.edu), then click the 'Show search options' button (the image of three sliders).

   

   
   

2. In the Search options menu, click "Create filter."

   
   

   
   

3. Check the box that says “Never send it to Spam” (you can also apply the filter to existing messages, if desired). Click “Create filter” to complete the process.
