CAA/Dominican University SAA Chapter Meet-Up

Thanks to all who attended the SAA week meet-up – we had a whopping 43 people (including 3 visiting archivists from Minnesota) stop in at Sweetwater!

The CAA Events Subcommittee invites all members, students, and interested others to join us for a Meet-Up at the Chicago Cultural Center (CCC) followed by coffee and drinks on Saturday afternoon, September 24th. This event is co-hosted with the Dominican University SAA chapter, so we hope to see plenty of both CAA members and students there.

WHAT:
CAA/Dominican University SAA Meet-Up
Saturday, September 24 1:15 – 5:30
Free public tour of one of Chicago’s architectural gems: the Chicago Cultural Center and a post-tour gathering in the cafe. This will be followed by drinks at Miller’s Pub http://www.millerspub.com/. Feel free to any part or all of this event.

WHEN & WHERE:
1:15 p.m. Free Public Tour of the Chicago Cultural Center (tour starts at 1:15 in the Randolph St. lobby), 78 E. Washington St.,

2:15 -3:30 Post-tour gathering in the Randolph Cafe in the Cultural Center’s Randolph St. lobby, 77 E. Randolph Street, for coffee and/or snacks.

3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Adjourn to Miller’s Pub, 134 S. Wabash, for drinks and additional mingling.

Feel free to any part or all of this event.  To get to Miller’s Pub from the Cultural Center, walk 1 block west on Randolph and 3 blocks south on Wabash.

WHO:
All members and interested others are welcome to attend. Students are especially welcome – this event is co-sponsored with Dominican University’s SAA chapter.

Can’t make it? Don’t worry – there will be more events throughout the year at a variety of dates, times, and locations.
