Chicago Open Archives event: DePaul University has been a fixture in Lincoln Park since the opening of St. Vincent’s College in 1898, witnessing and sometimes influencing social, demographic, and architectural change. Drop in to view a video of oral histories discussing the Lincoln Park neighborhood from the 1960s to early 2000s, produced by the Lincoln Park Community Research Initiative. Learn about the archival collections created and donated by organizations and individuals in Lincoln Park.

The program is continuous over the course of 2 hours. Attendees are welcome to drop in at anytime. This event is free of charge. No registration necessary.

DePaul Special Collections and Archives collects, preserves, and shares primary source materials in support of engaged teaching, active student learning, and scholarly and community research. Archival collection strengths include Chicago and Lincoln Park history; social justice; university archives; and the archives of the Western Province of the Vincentian order.
